- Atomic clocks are accurate if able to pick up the low frequency radio signal from the U.S. Atomic Clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. Some buildings and terrain may block the signal. If you can use a cell phone in the room you plan to use the clock, you should be able to receive the signal and the correct time will be set automatically.
